Co-Creation Forum
(Enyu Forum)?
New ideas and ways of thinking are essential for solving social issues—but they will never come to be if we restrict ourselves to only traditional frameworks and ways of looking at the world.
To remedy this, we have created a forum where people with diverse values and perspectives come together from different fields to engage in discussion, combining intelligence and sensibility to drive creativity and imagination and to solve unsolvable problems. This Social Value Co-Creation Forum (Enyu Forum),which consists of sessions for both discussion and learning, brings together people from not only the corporate sector, but also from wide-ranging academic fields—from science and technology to the arts and philosophy.
The IAAG*1 Enyu Roundtable is a place for discussion, where leading experts (Trailblazers) in various fields come together to examine social issues from various perspectives and engage in ongoing discussion aimed at finding solutions.
The Youth Koyasan Conference is a place for learning through academic seminars where various Trailblazers share their perspectives on society,hands-on opportunities to experience and learn about the arts, and events such as discussion sessions that bring together both academic and artistic perspectives. Sessions of this conference are held periodically as part of a year-long program.
The Koyasan Enyu Forum is also held once
or twice a year on Mt. Koya, where all participants, including youth
participants, engage in cross-disciplinary, cross-generational
discussion and learning opportunities.

The Social Value Co-Creation Forum (Enyu Forum) is co-hosted with the University of Tokyo’s Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology (RCAST), which is engaged in integrated, cutting-edge research that transcends the boundaries of the humanities, sciences, and arts.
Overview of the Enyu Forum

Generating innovation
through discussion and
learning
While innovation based on technology and research results is important, such innovation cannot lead to the creation of value without first identifying the fundamental issues facing society. While conventional ways of thinking make it difficult even to identify the issues we should be working to solve, the Social Value Co-Creation Forum seeks to resolve this by building an environment to generate innovation according to the following approach.

IAAG Enyu Roundtable
This series of roundtable-style conversations brings together Trailblazers from a wide variety of fields for cross-disciplinary discussions on social conflict and a wide variety of other topics. By examining issues from muti-layered perspectives, we consider how we can make the world a brighter, more bountiful place, and the kind of future we want to build.
You can view videos of past roundtables on the RCAST YouTube channel (in Japanese).
Youth Koyasan Conference
The Youth Koyasan Conference puts STEAM education into practice, giving youth participants the opportunity not only to learn, but to experience communication across the borders of generation, field of study, specialty, and more to foster next-gen talent with the ability to think for themselves, discipline themselves, and contribute broadly to society. By bringing together intelligence (the power to think) and sensibility (the power to feel), we develop talent with the high-level perspectives needed to build a better future.
The Youth Koyasan Conference consists of multiple sessions across three categories: seminars (Academic), the arts (Art), and discussions and interactive sessions that combine both (Harmony).
What is STEAM education?
STEAM education is an approach to learning that encompasses the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Mathematics to foster not only the acquisition of knowledge, but also creativity and problem-solving skills. By incorporating creativity in addition to a conventional sciences-based education, STEAM education aims to foster the skills of independent creativity that have come to be essential in the age of AI.

Academic
Trailblazers from various industries provide lecture-style seminars on their field of expertise and related perspectives on society.
Art
Experiences with the arts help youth participants to develop their sensibility. These sessions involve not only watching or listening, but also opportunities to communicate with artists and create works of art. This allows participants to experience firsthand the way that art can move us.

Harmony
By combining the intelligence and sensibility they’ve refined through the sessions above, all youth participants come together for discussions and creative experiences.
